25 | On August 10, 2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, licensee’s husband, Licensee’s Assistant, Agnes Adam and eight day care children. Licensee, her husband and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid was completed through America Red Cross and expires on June 14, 2022. Licensee’s Assistant has not completed the CPR and First aid training. Licensee understands that her assistant will not be left alone to provide care and supervision to the children in care. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on July 29, 2021.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on August 6, 2021. Fire alarm is located in the home’s permitted converter garage (building permits are on file at Regional Office). This room is now utilized as the day care room. Per fire inspector, the converted garage room is not allowed for napping the children in care. Licensee showed LPA the bedrooms that will be utilized for napping.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed four high chairs, a diaper changing table and flat screen television that is mounted onto the wall. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right hand side wall of the day care room’s entry way.
