25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Elizabeth Herrera for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her Husband, Edwin Herrera who will be her qualified assistant, her adult son, adult daughter, adult son in law and on minor child reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on October 28, 2019.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- Fire clearance was received on November 18, 2019. Licensee states that fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire alarm.
- This is a single story, three bedrooms and two bathrooms home and children will have access to the living room, family room, kitchen and hallway bathroom. Off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by the use of door locks or chain lock. Cabinets are made inaccessible by the use of magnetic lock or child proof safety latches.
- There is a fireplace in the family room that applicant states it will not be used during day-care hours.
- LPA observed safe toys, books and an alphabet rug for the children. There are two high chairs. Children will nap in . Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times.
- Facility has xxxxx fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
- Applicant’s and applicant's assistant have Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification was completed through EMS Safety are current and expires on 10/20/2020.
