25 | On 10/21/022 at 9:25 AM, an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), J. Helton. Operation hours are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday. The facility was toured at 11:00 AM inside and outside and the floor and yard plan submitted by the licensee were verified. The director and 6 staff members were supervising 27 children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. There are no pools or bodies of water on the premises. The outdoor activity space was cushioned with grass and bark, and free of hazards. 12 Children’s files were reviewed at 9:37 AM and 4 of staff files were reviewed at 10:50 AM.Center is changing to an electronic filing system.
Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed director] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
