25 | On 8/1/2023 at 1:15pm, a Required -1 Year inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Laura Chavez. At 11:30am the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee and assistants were supervising 12 children and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility’s operating hours are 5:00am-6:30pm, Monday–Friday. A review of the Facility Personnel Report Summary 8/1/2023 indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances. The floor plan and yard sketch previously submitted by the licensee were reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are the four bedrooms, dining room, and garage and were made inaccessible by locks and doorknob covers. The children use the backyard as the outdoor play area and it is fully fenced. During today's inspection, LPA observed the licensee and one assistant visually supervising 11 children playing on an inflatable water slide. The licensee understands that water from the inflatable water slide must be removed after each use.
Five children's records were reviewed at 1:10pm. Staff remain the same and their personnel records previously reviewed on 7/27/2022 remain complete. There are currently 4 adults living in the home. The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
There were no deficiencies cited during today’s Required - 1 Year Inspection.
