On 9/15/2022 at 11:10AM, an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA's), Carrie Wisehart and Erica Laird. This infant center's hours of operation are 7:30AM-5:30PM, Monday–Friday. The facility was toured at 1:00PM inside and outside and the floor and yard plan submitted by the licensee were verified. The licensee was supervising 4 children earlier in the day, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The outdoor activity space was cushioned with wood chips. Play area is currently off limits due to construction. Teacher was reminded to remove all hazards prior to children utilizing the space.

Jennifer "Jennah" Orduno was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Five children's records were reviewed at 1:20PM. One staff record was reviewed at 12:07PM.

LPA also informed licensee Jasmine Chase Martin of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. There were no deficiencies cited during today’s inspection.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Jennifer "Jennah" Orduno.
