25 | A prelicensing inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst, Wisehart. The applicant is requesting a license for a capacity of 14. The applicant was formerly licensed with an active Probationary License. The terms and conditions of the Probationary License will apply to the new license. Services will be available 24 hrs/7 days a week. The applicant understands 24 hr consecutive care is prohibited. The residence is a three bedroom, two bath home. The applicant is the only adult living in the home. The applicant was advised that all adults residing or working at the facility must have a criminal background clearance on file with CCLD. The applicant is aware of the immediate $100 per day civil penalty for adults working or residing in the home without a criminal record clearance.
Children will have access to the small living room, kitchen/dining room, child care play area one bedroom and one of the bathrooms. Two bedrooms and laundry room are off-limits and inaccessible with door knob covers. This is a single level home. There is no staircase. The home appears clean and orderly at this time and will remain so during child care hours. There is a working telephone. The sharp knives, cleaning supplies, medicines, are stored out of the reach of children. The applicant stated poisons are stored in the locked shed in the backyard which LPA confirmed during tour. The applicant understands that poisons shall be kept locked. The applicant stated no firearms or ammunition is stored on site and none were observed. The children in care will have access to age appropriate toys and equipment. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. The applicant stated children will use the backyard as the outdoor play area and it is fully fenced. There were no bodies of water observed on the property.
The applicant intends to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS and LPA printed examples for the Licensee who will submit a written policy to CCL by 11/12/19..
