25 | The facility pre-licensing inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst, Wisehart. The applicant is requesting a license for a capacity of 8.
Services will be available Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 7 pm. The residence is a 3-bedroom, 3 bathrooms home. There are two adults living in the home. The applicant was advised that all adults residing or working at the facility must have a criminal background clearance on file with CCLD. The applicant is aware of the immediate $100 per day civil penalty for adults working or residing in the home without a criminal record clearance.
Children will have access to the Family room; Living room; Dining room and the Kitchen. The off limit areas are the master bedroom/bathroom; two bedrooms and one bathroom and laundry room which are made inaccessible via door locks and gates. The poisons/chemicals are stored in the back yard shed which LPA confirmed during the tour and a pad lock will need to be added. The applicant understands that poisons shall be kept locked. The home appears clean and orderly at this time and will remain so during childcare hours. There is a working telephone. The sharp knives, cleaning supplies, medicines, are stored out of the reach of children. The applicant agrees to make alcohol inaccessible and to move items with drug fact to an inaccessible location in child's bathroom. The applicant stated there are no firearms and ammunition stored on this site, which LPA confirmed during the tour. Pellet guns and bows/arrows are stored in yard shed. The children in care will have access to age appropriate toys and equipment. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher which is rated at least the 2A10BC . The applicant stated children will use the back yard as an outdoor play area and it is fully fenced. The applicant agrees to make ladders; lawn mowers, wheelbarrows etc inaccessible either via a fence/gate or by storing them out of reach of children. The applicant also agrees to move debris piles and bricks from backyard child area and or make it inaccessible to children. The facility has a pellet stove which has a secured fire fence. There were no permanent bodies of water on the property and none were observed. The pet food and water dishes are in the laundry room and inaccessible to children. |
