32 | LPA also reviewed a sample of staff files and observed 1 of 3 files reviewed to be missing proof of health screening and immunization records. Staff #1’s transcripts were unavailable for review today. Additionally, Staff #2 is currently employed as a teacher within the facility; however, during file review today, LPA found that Staff #2's file did not contain proof of completion of all required child development courses. At least one person trained in CPR and pediatric First Aid is present when children are at the facility or at off-site activities.
Facility was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA discussed the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov which will provide access to Provider Information Notices (PINs), Quarterly Updates, COVID-19 Information and Resources, Mandated Reporter Training, Lead Poisoning Facts, Forms and Regulations.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, the following deficiencies are being cited: (see next page, 809 D) Licensee was provided a copy of their appeal rights. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
