25 | On 10/10/2023, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Ruby Ocegueda and Meche Rosales conducted a case management inspection for the purposes of discussing capacity decrease and reporting requirements. LPA met with Early Childhood Education Lead Margaret McLain. LPAs toured the facility and took a census.
Today, LPAs discussed the case management inspection conducted on 03/11/2022. At that time LPA Ocegueda cited a Type B deficiency under reporting requirements CCR 101212(c) as the facility did not report that room #60 that was previously approved for licensed care was no longer being used and occupied by an adult program. The adults attending in classroom #60 do not have access to the day care children in classrooms #58 and #59.
Today, LPA Ocegueda discussed reporting requirements and capacity decrease with ECE lead Margaret Mclain who confirmed that the facility is continuing to use the previously licensed classroom (#60) for an adult program and not for preschool children. It was confirmed that the facility had not yet submitted any required forms previously reviewed to complete a decrease in a capacity or to document that they were no longer using classroom #60.
ECE Mclain confirmed that she has all the required documents and forms ready for submission. LPA Ocegueda reviewed the forms and requirements for capacity decrease (Application for Child Care Center License LIC 200A, Emergency Disaster Plan for Child Care Centers LIC 610, Local Fire Inspection Authority Information Form LIC 9054. LPA Ocegueda also reminded ECE Lead McLain that a resolution letter with authorized personnel approved for making this change and facility sketch should be included with her submission to the Department.
Per the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, the following deficiency was cited: see 809-D. Appeal Rights were provided.
Notice of Site Visit 9213 should be posted for 30 days.
