25 | On 9/8/21 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jessika Thompson conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection. LPA was met by Licensee Leticia Ramirez. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:00AM-6:30PM.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. Licensee’s current facility sketch was reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that the kitchen, dining area, bathroom, day-care room and living room are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of door knob covers. There is a waiver in place for the backyard swimming pool. The waiver is posted on the licensee’s parent’s board as required. The pool gate is self-latching, self-closing, and opens away from the swimming pool. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. No poisons were observed.
There are no fireplaces or open face heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in this home. Safe toys and play equipment were observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (559) 636-0812.
There are currently no infants in care or enrolled. LPA discussed Safe Sleep Regulations with licensee.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. Car seats are used for transportation purposes only and are not used for sleeping children. The fenced front yard is used for outdoor play; the backyard is an off-limits area of the home. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed files were complete with emergency information as required. Licensee’s Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 8/28/20. Licensee’s pediatric CPR/First Aid expires on 10/05/21 (see next page, LIC809-C).
