25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Diane Mercado and Robert Gutierrez, conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPA met with Teacher, Dicla Velez. LPAs toured the facility inside and outside, and census was taken. Staff and children were spoken to during today’s visit. There are no bodies of water at this facility. Firearms and ammunition are not permitted on the premises. Disinfectants, hazardous items and medications are inaccessible to children. No poisons were observed on the premises. Furniture and equipment are age appropriate and in good repair. The playground equipment and outdoor activity space is maintained and in good condition with cushioning material. Children's toilets, hand washing facilities are sanitary. Room utilized by day care children is safe and clean. Food preparation area is clean, food is protected from contamination, and storage containers for solid waste are covered. Drinking water is available both indoors and outside. Fingerprint clearances not reviewed as district uses its own system for fingerprints. Teacher/child ratios are maintained, and supervision is being provided during this visit. First Aid/CPR certifications were reviewed. Sign in/sign out sheets are maintained. A sample of children’s files were reviewed, and emergency information forms and medical assessment forms were noted. Staff files were reviewed, and health screening forms are on file. Menus are posted on the parent board. This is an AM/PM half day program which operates on a traditional school year schedule. The morning session is 7:40 A.M to 10:40 A.M and the afternoon session is 11:35 A.M to 2:35 P.M, Monday through Friday. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services (IMS). Currently, no children require medication.
