25 | On 6/1/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ruby Ocegueda conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the purposes of discussing licensee possibly using an outside room for day care purposes in the near future. LPA toured the home and took a census.
Licensee and LPA discussed the requirements to use the disconnected structure for day care purposes. Per licensee the structure was already part of the home when she purchased the home approximately 20 plus years ago. She is not sure if it was permitted. The structure has a restroom and shower, but no kitchen and has air conditioning inside. Licensee would like to use the structure for day care use and no longer use the inside of her home.
LPA discussed the required forms that she should submit, however LPA will first consult further on whether or not she will need a permit from her local city planning and building office to use the space.
LPA reminded licensee that she could not use the space unless she obtained a proper fire clearance and Licensing Department inspection and approval. Licensee stated she understood and that she would not be using that space.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
