25 | On August 29, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Paul Garcia conducted an unannounced case management visit and met with Licensee Malinda Velte. A tour of the facility was given, and a census was taken. The purpose of the visit was explained to Licensee. Days/Hours of operation: Mon-Fri 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
LPA explained the purpose of the visit was to ensure that Licensee corrected previous deficiencies and to ensure Licensees were providing adequate care and supervision to the children in care. Also present was Teddie Velte co Licensee. LPA confirmed that the facility sketch that the department had on file matched the one posted in the facility to ensure the accuracy of the areas being used.
LPA confirmed that all staff employed possessed a current Mandated Reporter Training that meet AB 1207 standards. LPA observed that the boxes, toys, binders and arts and crafts supplies were no longer stored on high shelves that posed a potential safety risk to children in care. LPA also confirmed that 15-minute checks are being conducted on children 0-24 months of age and that LIC 992 (Individual Sleeping Plan) were filled out and signed/dated.
LPA provided additional technical assistance that pertained to Safe Sleep Regulations specifically 15 min checks. LPA also provided SAVE THE DATE flyer for a virtual & in person training presented by the Central Valley Safe Sleep Coalition on 09/28/2023.
Per Title 22 Division 12 Chapter 3 of the California Code of Regulations no deficiency's are being cited today.
Report was read and exit interview was conducted with Licensee Malinda Velte. Notice of Site was provided and must be posted for thirty days.
