NARRATIVE
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	Application Specialist (AS) Alecia Sifuentes met with Director, Brandy Hinkel for the purpose of an announced change of capacity case management inspection. Licensee requests to serve 66 preschool children from 2 years to entry into first grade. The program operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The fire clearance was granted and received on 6/17/2022. Director states that the facility closes for the summer, however the office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: There are four preschool classrooms. AS observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, and cubbies. Director stated that more nap mats have been ordered. AS used current indoor measurements. The total classroom space contains a total of 2,340 square feet, which will accommodate licensee's request for 66 preschool children. There are 6 toilets and 9 sinks for the children, and a separate private restroom for the staff. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024). OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: There are three outdoor areas on the property. AS used current outdoor measurements for Yard 1 and measured Yard 2 and Yard 3. The outdoor play area contains a total of 12,710 square feet, which will accommodate Licensee's request for 66 preschool children. AS observed the fencing surrounding Yard 2 is not four feet tall. AS informed the Director that Yard 1 and Yard 3 can only be utilized by the children. Director states that they will be adding an extension to Yard 2 fencing to meet the 4 foot requirement and will send AS photos of completion. AS informed Director that Yard 1 and Yard 3 has enough square footage for the requested capacity of 66 preschool children. Report continues on LIC809-C.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Brandy Hinkel. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

Effective today, 6/30/2022, AS will approve the change of capacity of 66 preschool children licensed to serve children from age 2 years to entry into first grade.
