1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	On 7/14/2022 at 9:45 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Austin Rios conducted a Required Annual inspection. LPA met with director Lynn Bordeaux and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA asked Covid-19 screening questions prior to entering the facility. LPA conducted a tour of the facility inside and out. There were 35 children in care at the time of the inspection with adequate staffing. The center operates from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and is open Monday thru Friday. Licensing required notices were posted prominently on the wall at the entrance of the facility. The facility uses four classrooms. Bathrooms were observed to be clean and free of toxins. Children bring their own water bottles.. The playground has age appropriate toys/equipment. LPA did not observe any toxins/hazardous items accessible to children. The classroom has age appropriate toys and furniture available for children. Classroom was organized with no toxins accessible to children in care. There is a functioning carbon monoxide detector that meets statutory requirement. Children bring there own lunch and snacks. All classrooms had trash cans with tight fitting lids. The daily schedule was posted in each classroom. The last disaster drill was conducted 5/11/2022. Center uses written sign in sheet. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed and found current. At least one staff present has current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificates that expire on 3/1/2024. Teachers present have current AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificates on file. Cont. on 809C

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
