25 | On 8/24/22 at 9:10 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Michael Mathew conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. LPA asked Covid-19 screening questions prior to conducting the inspection. LPA met with facility director Julia Riedel and advised him the purpose of the inspection to add two additional classrooms. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. There were 0 children in care at the time of the inspection.
On 6/1/ 2022, Community Care Licensing (CCL) received an application from the facility requesting to add an additional 2 classrooms. CCL reviewed and accepted the application. A fire clearance request was submitted to the Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD). The facility received an approved fire clearance on 7/15/2022 The facility has 5 approved classrooms (Classrooms #4,5,6,7,8) and is adding two more classrooms (classroom 3 & 2). LPA toured the two additional classrooms and observed age-appropriate furniture and toys for children in care. LPA observed a total of 5 sinks and two restrooms in both Classrooms 2 & 3. LPA observed carpet and titled floors in Classroom 2 & 3. LPA also observed a patio which is connected to Classroom 2.
This center meets Title 22 Division 12 requirements.
Two additional classrooms (classroom 2 & 3) will be effective today, 8/24/2022
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days
Appeal rights were given, and report was reviewed with the director Julia Riedel.
