1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Frank Pedroza made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting an Annual Random Inspection. LPA explained the purpose of the visit with Director Carol Barona and together we toured the facility inside and out. At the time of the inspection there was 68 children in care. The center operates from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday thru Friday. The center uses four classrooms for the children all separated by ages. Children's bedding for their sleeping pads are stored separately in each child's assigned storage bag. Children observed to be supervised by qualified staff. LPA did not observe any toxins/hazardous items accessible to children. LPA observed the posted lunch and snack menu. Children are provided three snacks throughout the day and lunch. Kitchen, food preparation, storage area are kept clean, free of litter. Food is properly labeled and dated. The outdoor playground has age appropriate toys and equipment. The facility has one outdoor storage building in the outdoor playground fully secured preventing children from having access. School bikes and earthquake kits are stored in the storage container. There is drinking water available both inside and outside for the children. Children medications are stored in a locked box located in facility kitchen. Center has written sign-in/sign-out sheets. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. Teachers have required qualification. Teachers present have current First Aid/CPR certificates that expire on 08/12/2019. Teachers present have current Mandated Reporter (AB1207) certificates that expire on 03/20/2021. Facility conducted their last emergency drill on 05/22/2019. LPA verified SB 792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis Requirements. Center was provided a guide of the Effects of Lead Exposure pamphlet.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.
