On October 3, 2022 @11:15 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rona Chavez conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with Director Autumn McGuire and discussed the purpose of the visit. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and outside. There were 30 children in care and 5 staff providing supervision at the time of the inspection. This is a combination center with a infant program.

Facility hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:30pm. Center uses 4 classrooms with one class used for the toddler option. Center has required licensing documents prominently posted at the entrance of the facility and each classroom. The center does not provide any meals for the children. The children bring their own lunch and snack and are stored properly and labeled. The facility has sufficient amount of restrooms and sinks for the children. LPAs did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children. Each of the classrooms has age appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care. Each classroom has functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Facility provides children that are staying full day a sleeping mat during quiet time if they choose to sleep. The outdoor playgrounds has an ample amount of space for children to play. LPAs observed the playground has age appropriate toys and structures available for children to use. The playground has ample amount of shade available. The facility has water available for children inside and out.

Center uses Smartcare Kiosk App for sign in and sign out. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. Teachers have required qualifications. Teachers present have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificates that expire on 01/31//2024. Teachers present have current AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificates that expire on 5/02/2023. LPAs verified SB 792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis Requirements. The last fire drill was conducted on 9.22/2022. Center is currently providing IMS services to children in care. Center is following Safe Sleep Guidelines.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee Director of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection.


A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.

Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Autumn McGuire. Director was provided Appeal Rights.
