On October 3, 2022 at 1:15 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Austin Rios conducted a Required Annual inspection. LPA met with Director Corrie Stevens. LPA asked Covid-19 screening questions prior to entering the facility. LPA advised the purpose of the inspection. LPA conducted a tour of the facility inside and out. The school age program operates on the grounds of Serra Padre Elementary in portable number 27 and also use portable number 28. There were eleven children in care and three staff at the time of the inspection. The facility operates 1:20 PM to 6:00 PM. The center is open Monday thru Thursday and on Friday starts at 11 AM as children get out early for half day. The center operates on the school calendar.

There is two bathrooms located in classroom number 27. Bathrooms were observed to be clean and free of toxins. There is also a sink in each of the classrooms. There is water available inside and outside for the children to have access too. The outdoor playground is part of the Elementary School campus. The playground has age appropriate toys and equipment in good condition. LPA did not observe any toxins/hazardous items accessible to children in the classrooms. The classroom has age appropriate toys and furniture available for children. LPA observed and reviewed the posted snack menu. The center provides afternoon snack. LPA reviewed Center written sign-in/sign-out sheets.

A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed and found complete. At least one staff present has current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificate that expires on 6/18/2024. Teachers present have current AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificates that expire on 8/31/2024. The last fire drill was conducted 9/20/2022.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.


This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.
