25 | On August 31, 2021 at 11:30 AM Licensing Program Analyst, Laura Villanueva conducted an unannounced inspection to conduct an annual required visit. Prior to inspection, LPA Villanueva asked pre screening questions related to COVID 19, Administrator's response indicates there are no COVID 19 exposures on site. LPA toured the entire center with Administrator, Deonna Armijo. There were 45 children present with 8 staff during the visit. There are 4 classrooms with a playground. The center is located on the Flory Elementary School site. There is a morning session from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and an afternoon session from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The classrooms have been renovated with new floors, furniture, and equipment.
All cleaning or hazardous items are stored inaccessible to children. Toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and in sanitary conditions. Center provides breakfast to morning session children and lunch for the children attending in the afternoon. Food menu is posted and all required forms are posted visibly for child's authorized representatives to view. Meals are prepared by the school district cafeteria and staff bring it to the classrooms. There is drinking water available for children inside and outside the classrooms.
The playground equipment is in good condition. The areas around and under high climbing equipment have cushioned material and are free of hazards. Sign in/out sheets were complete. Staff records are located at the district office. Children's files reviewed contain required forms and are complete. CPR and First Aid is current with expiration date of 08/11/23. The center is not currently providing Incidental Medical Services. Incidental Medial Services (IMS). The center provides IMS but currently does not have any children with medication.
