On February 8, 2023 at 12:15 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susana Martinez conducted an unannounced Required- 1 Year inspection. LPA met with licensee Maria Ayala and advised her of the purpose for the inspection. Together with the licensee, LPA toured the home inside and outside. At the time of inspection there were 0 children in care and no other adults present. No bodies of water were observed at the time of inspection.

Licensee states she currently has 4 children enrolled, but they only come once in a while. LPA observed the required licensing documents on a poster board. The home was observed to be clean and free of hazardous/toxic items. There were sufficient age-appropriate toys and play structures inside and outside. The bathroom that is used by the children in care was observed to be clean and free of toxic/hazardous items. The backyard is fully fenced and free of hazards.

A dual carbon monoxide/smoke detector was observed in the hallway. Licensee tested the alarm and found it to be functioning. A regulatory 2A10BC fire extinguisher was observed to have been last serviced on 2/7/2022, LPA reminded licensee that the extinguisher needs to be serviced or purchased yearly. Licensee states she will have her husband service it soon.

Licensee's CPR and First Aid training is valid until 11/15/2024. AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificate is valid until 07/22/2023. Licensee last completed an emergency disaster drill on 11/08/2022. A sampling of children records were reviewed.
