25 | On November 6, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rosie Breault conducted an announced Case Management Inspection for classroom addition and an increased capacity. LPA met with Chief Operating Officer (CEO) Jennifer Heinen and discussed the purpose of the inspection. This facility is located on the grounds of Loma Vista Elementary School.
The school age program operates Monday – Friday 7:30am-6:00pm. Currently the facility is licensed for one portable classroom. The licensee applied on 08/15/2023 to increase the current capacity of 48 to 78 children and to add room #4.
LPA observed classrooms to contain age-appropriate toys and equipment, ample ventilation and access to water and toileting facilities. The fire extinguisher was last serviced on 6/23/2023. Children utilize school grounds for outdoor play, perimeter fencing present. At the time of the inspection, no bodies of water were present.
Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
