On 1/17/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) German Negrete conducted an unannounced Annual Random inspection. LPA arrived and met with Licensee, Elsie Macias . LPA informed Licensee of the purpose for the inspection. Together with the Licensee, , LPA toured the Family child care home (FCCH) inside and outside. At the time of inspection there were 5 children being supervised by the Licensee and Assistant(See LIC859). Facility Hours of operation are 6AM to 6PM Monday -Friday.

The home is a 3-bedroom, 4-bath 1- story home. The licensee uses the living room for child care services. Children in care utilize the bathroom located near living room The front yard is used for childcare. The 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are off limits and are inaccessible to children in care due to child proof barrier(see LIC812). The home has a kitchen that is off limits and inaccessible to children in care(see LIC812). LPA observed age appropriate toys, teaching materials, and furnishings available for children in care in good condition and free of hazards. A regulation 2A10BC fire extinguisher was observed with a service date of 1/25/2024. Licensee is reminded to service or purchase the fire extinguisher yearly. LPA observed the bathroom utilize for child care is clean and orderly. Licensee does posses a fireamr in the home. LPA observed he firearm and ammunition are securely stored in a locked safe. Ammunition and fire arm are separated..

LPA continued inspection in the sleeping area. FCCH provides children with individual sleeping mats during quiet time if they choose to sleep. LPA observed the mats were clean. LPA observed the out door play area has an ample amount of space for children to play. LPA observed the outdoor play area has age appropriate toys and structures available for children to use. Last disaster plan drill was conducted on 6/27/2024. Continued on LIC809-C

The FCCH also has a very organized storage area where all the arts and board game are kept. There are no swimming pools or other bodies of water present. LPA observed the trash containers had tightly covered lids. Children and staff records were reviewed. In total of five files were reviewed. LPA observed the files of C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, were complete. LPA verified SB792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis requirements. Licensee does have current Pediatric CPR/First-Aid certificates that are valid until 03/21/2026. The Licensees mandated reported training was found to be expired. LPA also reviewed assistant mandated reporter training, both License and Assistant training is expired, expiration date 6/26/2024. Licensee confirmed there are no registered sex offenders living in the home and LPA completed the RSO profile on FAS on 1/17/2025.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

This FCCH does provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02- CCP. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and- resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.Continued on LIC809-C

Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
