25 | THIS IS AN AMENDED REPORT FROM THE ORIGINAL DATED 10/10/2019. Licensing Program Analysts (LPA's) Betzayra Cervantes and Michael Avila made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting an Annual/Random facility inspection. LPA's met with licensee Teresa Larios and discussed the nature and purpose of the visit. Together a tour of the facility was conducted by LPA's and licensee both inside and outside. The licensee uses the living room, dining room, kitchen, one bedroom, one restroom, and back yard for day care. There were six children in care at the time of the visit.
A 2A10BC fire extinguisher was observed in the kitchen with a last service date of 10/20/2018. A functioning smoke and monoxide detector was observed. A roster of children in care was observed current and complete. Last emergency drill was conducted on 09/09/2019. No toxins nor hazards were observed accessible to children. Licensee has a small dog in the back yard which is licensed and vaccinated. LPA's reminded Licensee she is responsible to provide care and supervision at all times when children are in care to include when the children are playing with pets at the facility. The backyard is fully enclosed with a gated fence. No bodies of water were observed on the property.
A sample of children's files were reviewed and found to be complete. Licensee's CPR/First-Aid is current until 10/01/2021. LPA's illustrated the Community Care Licensing Website to Licensee to include viewing the Safe Sleep video (in Spanish). LPA reminded Licensee it is her responsibility to be aware of all child care regulations which can be accessed at www.ccld.ca.gov.
