25 | On 1/6/2025 ,Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) German Negrete conducted an unannounced Annual/required inspection of the above mentioned Infant Center (Facility). LPA met with Assistant Director of the Facility Alice Burris. LPA explained the purpose and nature of the inspection. The infant program has a toddler component and operates both programs Monday – Friday 6:30AM to 6:30PM. At the time of inspection, LPA observed 13 toddlers, 11 infants along with 5 staff and 1 substitute providing care and supervision. The Center's Assisting Director partakes with care and supervision of infant and toddlers on site.
LPA observed most required licensing forms and documents posted near the main door entry, publicly accessible area of the facility(personal rights and menu not posted). The facility Sign In/Out forms were reviewed by LPA. The forms contained the arrival and departure times of children in care and well as the signatures of the children's authorized representatives. The classrooms of the Facility are clean and orderly. The classrooms have age-appropriate equipment and furnishings available to children in care. The Facility has multiple carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors. LPA tested dual carbon monoxide and smoke detectors during the inspection
The facility uses one bathroom for infants and toddlers. The one restroom is in sanitary condition. However infant and toddlers are monitored by facility staff when using the restrooms. LPA observed a operable refrigerator in the Fire panel closet. If required, the refrigerator is used for medicine. Currently The facility provides snacks to infants and toddlers every 3 hours starting at 8AM. Lunch is provided to infants and toddlers in care at this facility. The facility also has available filtered drinking water for children inside and outside of the facility. Facility's constructed before 1/1/20, need to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before 1/1/23, and then every 5-years except after the date of the first test.
