On August 17, 2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susana Martinez conducted an unannounced Case Management- Licensee Initiated inspection. LPA met with director Terri Baumount and advised her of the purpose for the inspection. Together with the site director, LPA toured the facility inside and outside. No bodies of water were observed at the time of inspection. There were 15 children present at the time of inspection.
The center submitted a waiver request to allow preschool children to use a school-age classroom for half a day. The room requested to be used is #207 which is located on the second floor of the facility.
A fire clearance was granted by the Ventura County Fire Department on 6/21/2023.
LPA toured the room and observed age-appropriate toys and furnishings. No hazardous items were observed at the time of inspection. There are 3 toilets and 1 sink readily available to children in care.
The waiver request was granted with the following requirements:
- The Center will strictly use the school-age classroom for preschoolers Monday-Friday from 9 am- 12 pm only.
- The school-age classroom shall be furnished with age-appropriate toys and fixtures readily available for preschoolers in care.
- The classroom capacity shall not exceed 15 children at any time.
- There shall be no commingling at any time between preschool and school-age children.
- Any changes in the existing condition must be reported to the licensing agency immediately at (805) 562-0400
