NARRATIVE
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25	On November 01, 2023, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Susana Martinez and Veronica Diaz conducted an unannounced Required- 3 year inspection. LPA met with director Terri Beaumont and advised her of the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. There were 6 children in care at the time of the inspection along with 2 staff member. LPA observed menus, daily activity schedule, emergency disaster plan, and waiver to be posted in the room. LPA's asked Director where license and parent's rights are located in the room, Director states they are most likely posted in the main building. LPA's reminded Director that license and parent's rights should be posted in a prominent publicly accessible area in the facility. Last fire drill was conducted on 9/8/2023. The classroom has age-appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care. LPA observed enough restrooms available for children to use. LPA did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children. Currently the facility uses an App called Brightwheel for sign-in/sign-out. Facility provides morning and afternoon snacks. Lunch is brought from home. The outdoor playground is shaded and has an ample amount of space for children to play. LPA observed the playground has age-appropriate toys and structures available for children to use. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. LPA observed five out five children's files to be complete and current. LPA observed staff files to be complete and current. CPR current with an expiration date of 11/2023. Staff mandated reporter certification are all current and valid through 05/2024. LPA verified SB792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis requirements. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. CCC DID NOT COMPLETE TESTING PRIOR TO THEIR DEADLINE.

LPA referred director to the Department website for lead: Lead Toxicity Prevention and Water Testing Information. Written Directives contained in PIN 21-21-CCP.

Director was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

During today's inspection one type B citation was issued per HSC 1597.16(a)(1) and can be found on the attached LIC809-D. Two technical violations were also issued during today's visit and can be found on the attached LIC9102.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Exit interview conducted, appeal rights given and report was reviewed with the director, Terri Beaumont.
