On December 8, 2020 at 11:50 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jill Laxo conducted an unannounced telephone consultation, due to COVID-19 State of Emergency, and explained the nature and purpose of the call to conclude the investigation of the above allegations. LPA Laxo met with Rosa Valencia, Director and explained the purpose of the call. Director stated there were 26 children present with 5 teachers.

The allegations alleged a child sustained unexplained injuries while in care and staff handled day care child in a rough manner. Investigation included email correspondence, photo review, interviewing complainant, director, staff members, and parents of children in care. Staff and parents interviewed did not corroborate the allegations. Although these allegations may have occurred, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore, the allegations listed above are deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED.

Exit interview conducted with Director Rosa Valencia. Notice of Site Visit has been posted (LIC9213). The notice shall be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a $100.00 civil penalty.
