25 | On July 18th, 2023, at 2:45PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rosie Breault conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with Director Rosa Valencia and explained the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. The facility operates Monday through Friday 6:30AM – 6:30PM. At the time of the inspection there were twenty-one (21) children, and six (6) teachers present. This is a combined center with Preschool and School Age programs.
Licensing required notices were posted prominently on the wall at the entrance of the facility. Facility uses the electronic application SproutAbout for sign in and out purposes. The facility is currently utilizing two (2) classrooms for care and supervision. Both classrooms have changing tables with sink readily accessible per regulation. Facility has sufficient amount of cribs and LPA observed no objects hanging above or inside. The older infants sleep on their own mats which are disinfected daily. Facility had the required current 15-minute sleep logs which were viewed by LPA and found to comply. LPA observed children’s infant needs and services plan. Food and milk are stored in classroom refrigerators. At the time of the inspection, the refrigerators had each child's formula, sipping cups, bottles lined up in their own tray. Food and milk have not expired. Refrigerators are functioning, and kitchen is free of rodents. LPA reviewed a sampling of Individual Needs and Services Plans and feeding plans. LPA observed all toxins, poisons/hazardous items inaccessible to children. Fire extinguisher was last serviced on 6/5/2023 and emergency drill on 6/2/2023. Per director, no firearms or ammunition are present on property.
Outdoor play area has ample shade for children, sinks, filtered water, age-appropriate toys and equipment, and no bodies of water are present. Outdoor area is situated as to not co-mingle with other programs.
