On July 18th, 2023, at 1:52PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rosie Breault conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with Director Rosa Valencia and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. The center operates Monday through Friday 6:30AM – 6:30PM. At the time of the inspection there were eighty (80) children, and eight (8) teachers present. This is a combination facility with School Age and Infant Programs.

LPA observed required licensing documents mounted on the wall at the entrance of the facility. Parents use electronic SproutAbout app for signing in and out, and communication purposes. The facility is currently utilizing four (4) classrooms for care and supervision. Each of the classrooms have ample ventilation, age-appropriate toys, and furniture readily accessible for children in care. LPA observed a variety of activities that meet the needs of children including quiet and active play. Children nap on mats and their individual bedding is stored separately. Children bring their own water bottles and facility also provides filter water for use. LPA observed all cleaning compounds, disinfectants, sharps, combustibles, and tools to be elevated and inaccessible to children. Director stated classrooms are cleaned every evening by a janitorial service. LPA observed the facility has a sufficient number of restrooms and sinks available for the children, which were functioning and clean at the time of the inspection. Facility provides breakfast, lunch and snack and LPA observed kitchen to be clean, free of rodents, and appliances in working order. LPA observed the monthly menu posted prominently. Fire extinguisher was last serviced on 6/5/2023. Last emergency drill was conducted on 6/2/2023. Per director, no firearms or ammunition are present on property.

LPA observed the outdoor area play area to have ample amount of space for children to play with appropriate toys, equipment, and perimeter fencing. The play yards are situated as to prevent co-mingling with other programs. LPA observed ample shade, soft padding, and bark free of debris. No bodies of water are present.
