25 | On August 17, 2021 at 9:35 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Francisco Pedroza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA contacted facility to conduct Covid-19 screening questions prior to entering the facility. LPA met with facility Director Laura Garcia and advised her the purpose of the inspection. There was no children in care at the time of the inspection. Facility hours of operation is Monday thru Friday 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Currently the facility is closed for Summer break. LPA observed required licensing documents mounted on the wall in the classroom. Children bring their own lunch and snack from home. If a child stays for an extended hours to 6:00 pm, the center provides an afternoon snack. The center has three classrooms and the multipurpose room. When the school year starts, the center will only be using two (2) classrooms and the multipurpose room for care. The school uses the school restroom that has six (6) toilets and six (6) sinks accessible to children in care. LPA did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children in care. Each of the classrooms have age appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care. Facility provides children that choose to sleep during quiet time a sleeping mat. The outdoor playground has an ample amount of space for children to play. LPA observed the playground has age appropriate toys and structures available for children to use. The playground has ample amount of shade available. The facility has water available for children inside and out. Children use their own water bottles if they have them or the facility will provide a cup.
