25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michael Avila made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting an Annual Random facility inspection. LPA Avila met with Licensee's husband Antonio Verdin and Licensee's mother Maria Arroyo who were caring for 13 children at the time of the visit. LPA Avila discussed the nature and purpose of the visit. LPA toured the home and noted all of the children were napping at the time of the visit. Licensee Maria Verdin arrived shortly there after and LPA Avila explained the nature and purpose of the visit. No toxins nor hazards were observed accessible to children in care. A 2A10BC fire extinguisher was observed mounted in the kitchen with a service tag dated 11/9/2019. A smoke and carbon monoxide detector were also observed in the home. LPA confirmed both of the adult assistants are certified in CPR/First-aid. Licensee's husband Antonio Verdin denied any firearms were stored in the home. Children's and staff records were reviewed and were noted current and complete. LPA advised Licensee can find and review all child care regulations online at www.ccld.ca.gov.
Licensee states there are no children in care who require Incidental Medical Services. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417.
