25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Laura Villanueva and Austin Rios made an unannounced visit in order to conduct an Annual/Required inspection. LPAs met with Dominique Ruiz, Infant/Toddler Teacher then toured the facility. The classroom was in need of deep cleaning with limited supplies for the children to work with. The tables and chairs are worn and not age appropriate. The carpet and cabinets are stained with soil spots. The restrooms were found to be in need of cleaning. The doors are stained with various elements. One door is missing the hardware to lock. All hazardous items are inaccessible to children. There is a functioning carbon monoxide detector that meets statutory requirement. All required State forms were posted. Menu was posted.
The outdoor play area is completely fenced. Drinking water is available inside and outside through water fountains. LPAs did not observe enough supplies for children to choose from. Teacher and child files reviewed and found complete. Sign in and sign out is completed by parents electronically. Mandated Reporter Training and CPR/First Aid training is current for school aged staff.
The school aged program is currently not providing Incidental Medical Services Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Technical advisory issued for soiled carpets, sharing of water fountain by various children, and lack of privacy in restroom during today's visit. An exit interview was conducted with Infant/Toddler Teacher. A copy of this report notice of site visit was issued. A copy of CCLD Summer 2021 Quarterly Update was provided. |
