25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michael Avila made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting an Annual Random Inspection. LPA Avila met with site supervisor Celia Rodriguez and discussed the nature and purpose of the visit. The facility operates one session beginning at 5:30am through 4:30pm. Sign-in/Out sheets were observed current and complete. Parent postings and required Licensing Program information was observed posted prominently on the wall at the entrance of the classroom. Water is provided via a dispenser with disposable cups accessible to children. No toxins nor hazards were observed accessible to children in care. Age appropriate toys and furniture were observed throughout the classroom. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided to the children in care. Lunch served at the time of the visit was consistent with the posted menu.
The outdoor area was observed with age appropriate toys. Shade is made available large umbrellas and an overhead canopy. Water is accessible via portable water dispensers. The playground structure is age appropriate for ages 3-5 years old. A sponge type surface was observed at the base of the playground structure. The facility has a separate area to accommodate the toddler component. No toxins nor hazards were observed accessible to children in care. The playground area is fenced off from the preschool with age appropriate toys. Shade via an overhead canopy along with water is also accessible to children in care.
All medications are stored in a locked box inaccessible to children in care. One child (C1) is currently receiving Incidental Medical Services – IMS at this time.
