On October 5, 2022 at 10:49 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rona Chavez conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with Director Rebecca Hernandez and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. There were 0 children in care at the time of the inspection.

The facility is using one (1) classroom for the School age program. LPA observed licensing required documents posted prominently on the wall at the entrance of the facility. The center has sufficient amount of restrooms for the children to use. LPAs observed age appropriate toys, activities, books, and furniture readily accessible for children to use. The center provides snacks for children while in care. The outdoor playground has an ample amount of space for children to play. LPA observed the playground has age appropriate toys and structures available for children to use. The playground has ample amount of shade available. The facility has water available for children inside and out.

Center uses Learning Care App/Kiosk for digital sign in and out. LPA reviewed a sampling of children and staff records. Children records were complete and current. LPA verified SB 792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis Requirements. Staff present were fully qualified with current Mandated Reporter certificates that expire on 3/23/2023 and CPR/First-aid certificates that expire on 5/2023. The last fire drill was completed on 09/09/2022. Facility is following current Covid-19 guidelines. Center does not currently provide Incidental Medical Services (IMS).


No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with director and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed director of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.


A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Rebecca Hernandez. Director was provided Appeal Rights.
