25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ana Tolentino made an unannounced inspection for the purpose of conducting an Annual Random Inspection and Increase of Capacity from 8 to 14 to a Large Family Child Care Home. LPA met with Assistant Martha Garcia-Sanchez and discussed the nature and purpose of the inspection. Together we tour the home inside and outside. LPA observed 3 children in care.
Licensees use the living room, one bedroom, one bathroom and the back patio for daycare. Licensee has safety gate in the kitchen area and bedroom hall, making it inaccessible to the children. Cleaning products, medication and other items dangerous to children are kept inaccessible to children. LPA observed age appropriate toys, small tables, chairs, and cubbies. Licensees bathroom was found clean and free of toxins at this time. The back patio has a separate fence for the dogs and is free of hazards. Licensee has current roster of children in care. Fire extinguisher last serviced June 11, 2018. Fire and disaster drills last conducted 04/11/2019. CPR/First Aid is current for Licensee and Assistant with an expiration date of 05/2020. Licensee does not have guns or weapons in the home. No bodies of were observed. AB792 Adult Immunization on file. SB1207 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate pending for Spanish version. Licensee currently has no children with Incidental Medical Services (IMS).
LPA reviewed and provided Licensee with Guide to Infant Safe Sleep and Lead Poisoning Flyer.
Licensees requested to increase capacity from 8 children to 14 children. The fire clearance was granted 05/28/2019. The home meets Title 22 Division 12 requirements for a large license.
Effective date of large license granted today, May 30, 2019.
No deficiencies were cited during today's visit.
