25 | On November 27, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rosie Breault and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Deborah Lowe, conducted an announced Case Management visit. LPA and LPM met with licensee/director Yolanda Jackson and discussed the purpose of the inspection.
On August 3rd, 2023, licensee applied for a decrease of capacity of the preschool program to provide care for 19 children. Licensee has a pending application for an infant license. Licensee utilizes classrooms #1 and #3 for care and supervision, designating classroom #2 for proposed infant license.
The facility operates Monday – Friday 7:00am-5:30pm, with optional care from 6:00pm-10:00pm and optional care on Saturdays from 7:30am – 5:30pm. LPA and LPM observed written log for the purposes of signing in and out.
LPA and LPM observed classrooms to contain age-appropriate toys and equipment, and ample ventilation. LPA and LPM observed three toilets and four sinks available to children. LPA and LPM observed cots and mats available for napping purposes. LPA observed kitchen to be clean, functioning, and free of pests at the time of the inspection.
Outdoor area is contained by permitter fencings, and includes soft padding to absorbs falls, age-appropriate toys and equipment, a locked shed inaccessible to children, and ample shade. Licensee stated water is provided to children outside. No bodies of water are present at the time of the inspection.
