25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Laura Villanueva made an unannounced inspection in order to conduct an ANNUAL/RANDOM review and met with the licensee, Claudia Rodriguez. The purpose of the visit was discussed and a tour of the one story home was conducted inside and outside. Licensee uses the entire home and backyard for the child care. LPA toured these areas and found them free of hazards.
Licensee stated that there were no firearms in the home. The home maintains a 2A10BC fire extinguisher purchased on 07/16/19. The home also maintains a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector that meet requirements. LPA observed a baby bouncer in the living room. LPA advised Licensee that baby bouncers are prohibited in licensed child care homes. Licensee placed the bouncer outside.
There was a current facility roster present. Child files were reviewed. CPR/First Aid for licensee was current with an expiration date of 11/08/21. Licensee conducts emergency disaster drills. Last drill was conducted on 7/10/19. Licensee is current with SB792(Mendoza). Mandated Reporter Training was completed.
Licensee stated that there are no children on medication currently.
