25 | On June 26, 2020 at 10:01 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA's) Francisco Pedroza and Maria McDaniels conducted an announced tele-visit Case Management inspection. Due to COVID-19 and Department of Public Health (DPH) guidelines of social distancing, a tele-inspection will occur. LPA's met with Director Deborah Lowe and Interim Director Sara Hutson through Facetime and was provided a tour of the facility. There were five children in care at the time of the inspection.
Facility submitted an application to the Community Care Licensing (CCL) requesting an increase in capacity for their infant license from 12 to 28 children. The facility has two classrooms one for infants and the other for toddlers. On June 18, 2020 the Ventura County Fire Department inspector conducted a fire inspection. The facility received a fire clearance approval for the increase in capacity.
Classroom measurements:
Infant classroom measured approximately 731 sqft / 35 = 20 children
Toddler classroom measured approximately 742 sqft / 35 = 21 children
The center meets Title 22 Division 12 requirements.
License capacity increase will be effective today, June 26, 2020 for 28 infant/toddler children.
A copy of this report was reviewed and provided to the facility. Director agreed to receive a copy of report via email and voiced understanding that the read receipt confirmation from email will be in lieu of their signature once she received the report. LPA requested licensee to email a copy of signed form for records.
