25 | On December 28, 2022 at 1:15 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susana Martinez conducted an unannounced Case Management- Licensee Initiated inspection. The center submitted an application for change of rooms. LPA met with site director Alyssa Ceballos and informed her the reason for the inspection. Together with the director, LPA toured the indoors and outdoors. At the time of inspection there were 0 children in care and 1 staff member.
The center is requesting to use 3 new rooms labeled 2, 3, and 4 along with the playground directly outside of the new classrooms, playground outside the sanctuary, and the sanctuary. A fire clearance was granted by the Fillmore Fire Department on 11/15/2022. The rooms were observed to be clean and free of any toxins/hazardous items. A smoke and carbon monoxide detector was observed in each room as well as fire extinguishers. The classrooms had sufficient storage space for children to use as well as toys and learning materials.
Center director, Alyssa, states the center will be providing snacks and children will be required to bring a lunch from home. The center currently uses an outside water source to supply drinking water. LPA reminded Alyssa about lead testing and provided PIN 22-20-CCP.
Indoor Square footage in each room meets the requirement for 16 preschoolers. The facility has a total of 8 stalls, 2 urinals and 8 sinks which meets the requirements. The outdoor play areas were found to have sufficient age-appropriate toys and shade. The maximum capacity granted for the new rooms is 48 children based on measurements.
