25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs)Laura Villanueva conducted a PRELICENSING visit to the center. Met with Executive Director, Meagan Garris. This is a school-aged program addition to the program. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM on days that the children are off from school. The center was toured and measured both inside and outside. There are age appropriate toys/equipment/furnishings. There is drinking water available both inside (portable water dispenser and cups) and outside. There is a private restroom in the hall for the children.The outdoor is attached to the center and is completely enclosed by a fence with gates. There are shaded areas.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Director was reminded that the Child Care Center regulations could be accessed online at www.ccld.ca.gov.
Based on the indoor measurements, outdoor measurements, including sink, toilet, drinking water available indoors/outdoors, and shade available for 28 school aged children. License is effective today. |
