25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michael Avila made an announced visit for the purpose of conducting a Prelicensing visit. Proof of control of property was submitted with the application via a copy of the lease agreement. Applicant applied for a Preschool license for children within an age group of 2-5 years old.
A tour of the entire center was conducted. Indoor and outdoor activity spaces. The facility consist of one classroom. The parent information board with all the required postings is located in the classroom. The center will have a sign in/out book located at the entrance of the room.
Preschool Center: The preschool program will consist of one room which measured out at 25 ft. x 21 ft. which combined measures to approximately 525 sq./ft. One bathroom was observed with two toilets and one sink. The classroom was equipped with age appropriate tables, chairs, cubbies, instructional aids and materials. Total capacity for square footage along with available toilets and sinks allows for 15 children.
The Outdoor Area measures out to approximately 1,300 square feet which is ample amount of space for a capacity of 15 children. LPA observed the yard was equipped with age appropriate toys and equipment. Water will be provided via a portable igloo and disposable cups. Shade is provided via a large awning and or trees.
Fire clearance was approved by the Ventura City Fire Department on 11/04/19.
The License to operate a Child Care Center of 15 preschool age children is effective today November 13, 2019. |
