25 | On January 6, 2022 at 8:50 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Francisco Pedroza and Michael Mathew conducted an announced Pre-licensing inspection. LPAs met with facility Director Michelle Stark and advised them the purpose of the inspection. LPAs were provided a tour of facility inside and out. There were no children in care at the time of the inspection. Facility hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Facility is located on a local church premises. LPAs observed the required licensing documents mounted on the wall in the lobby of the facility. LPAs observed a posted snack menu. Facility provides two snacks daily for children in care. Children will bring their own lunch from home. The facility will be using three classrooms for children in care. LPAs observed each classroom had age appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care. The younger infant classroom had a separate area for cribs. LPAs observed 17 moveable cribs. The facility provides a sleeping mat for the older children that do not require a crib. LPAs reviewed the center's infants needs and service plans. The facility will be storing infants milk and food in a refrigerator. Every infant will have their storage box in the refrigerator with their name on it. LPAs advised Director to ensure the food is properly labeled with the child's name and date. The facility has two yards. One yard is for the younger infants and the second is for older/toddler children. Water will be available for children inside and out. Director advised that the facility will be using the the electronic application Himama. The application allows the facility to sign-in/sign-out children. Staff will be logging 15 minute sleep checks, meals, changing, incidents, and other options.
LPAs reviewed, discussed and gave applicant updated samples of state required forms to be kept in the children's file, required forms to be posted and forms that needs to be maintained at the Child Care Center (CCC). LPAs discussed information capacity, ratios, current Covid-19, and safe sleep requirements.
