Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Chayntel Hunter and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lauren Scott met with Licensee Representative, Lisa Norris, for the purpose of an Informal Office Meeting. LPM Hunter defined the difference between a Non-Compliance and an Informal Meeting. LPM advised Ms. Norris that the purpose of today’s meeting is to help provider gain compliance.

Today's informal meeting was to discuss the Type A citation issued on 01. 30. 2024 for an absence of supervision. The facility was cited due to one child (C1) being left outside for approximately 10 minutes.

The facility was previously cited for a lack of supervision on 03. 05. 2020 and 10. 25. 2019.

The facility had stated that they have taken the following steps to maintain compliance:
1. Facility stated they are conducting staff training's on doing "face to name" on the iPads as head counts.
2. Facility has also posted signs with reminders for staff to conduct "face to name" counts at every transition.
3. Facility is participating in biweekly interagency licensing calls regarding supervision.

LPA and LPM reviewed regulations on Supervision. LPM and LPA provided information regarding training videos on Supervision and the Technical Support Program (TSP), which is a non-enforcement arm of the Community Care Licensing Division offering on site support to licensees and providers. LPA will follow-up with Licensee Representative, Lisa Norris, for TSP services. LPA discussed using the Department website (ccld.ca.gov) for child care updates, legislation, forms and regulation information. LPM suggested viewing informational videos at www.ccld.childcarevideos.org.
