Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Lauren Scott and Carla Polanco Rivera met with licensees, Dorothea Gee and Eliza Cabaltera to deliver the findings of the complaint investigation regarding the above allegations.

During the course of the investigation, LPA Scott conducted interviews, and obtained information pertaining to allegation. It was alleged that inappropriate behaviors were taking place with children in care, staff was using inappropriate forms of discipline and children were not being properly supervised. Interviews conducted did not reveal any evidence to support the above allegations. Interviews revealed that the staff remain in the daycare area with the children and talk to children or use time outs. Through interviews it was stated that children use the restrooms privately and providers are aware of where children are during their time in care.

Based on the information obtained throughout the course of this investigation the above allegations could not be substantiated or dismissed. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the finding is UNSUBSTANTIATED.

Exit interview was conducted. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
