25 | On July 22, 2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Chayntel Hunter met with Licensee, Ramona Vazquez for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. There were four children present at the time of inspection. Licensee's operating hours are Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM. Licensee also provides overnight care on an as needed basis.
A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. Off-limits areas include laundry room and master bathroom. During the inspection Licensee requested to make backyard off limits while pool construction was taking place. Licensee also requested that the master bathroom be made on limits. LPA observed bathroom and verified toxic and hazardous items were inaccessible to children in care. As of today 7/22/21 the backyard will be off limits and the master bathroom will be made on limits. Off limit areas are being made inaccessible by closed locked doors and baby latches. LPA observed daycare area with age appropriate toys for children. LPA observed the required postings and a working phone. 3A10BC fire extinguisher meets regulations. LPA observed dual smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and verified it is functional. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home.
The backyard will have an above ground pool area that is being fenced per Title 22 regulations. Licensee's bedroom provides direct access into the pool area, but Licensee has alarm installed for door.
In addition LPA discussed the infant sleep regulations with licensee. LPA discussed the requirement to check and log infant napping every 15 minutes for infants 24 months and under. LPA provided a copy of LIC 9227 Individual Sleeping Plan, for infants under 12 months, for licensee during today's inspection.
