This is an amendment to the findings delivered on 12/14/21.
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Chayntel Hunter met with Assistant Director, Samia Abbushi to deliver the findings of the complaint investigation regarding the above allegations. During the course of the investigation, LPA Hunter conducted interviews, and obtained information pertaining to allegations. It was alleged that daycare children were not treated with dignity and respect. Although a child did have behavioral needs, statements made did not corroborate that staff did not treat the child with dignity and respect.

It was also alleged that staff are not properly trained. Although teachers were qualified, there was no additional training provided for children with behavioral needs. Although it is not required, the Director was encouraged to provide additional training and resources to staff to meets the needs of all children enrolled. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the finding is UNSUBSTANTIATED. Exit interview was conducted. Notice of Site Visit was provided and should remain posted for 30 days.
