25 | On March 3, 2020 at 11 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Chayntel Hunter met with Site Coordinator, Connie Luna-Garcia for the purpose of a case management inspection. The facility has requested the outdoor play area for Classrooms 11 and 12 to be licensed.
During the inspection conducted on 08/15/19, LPA Jackson did not observe a fence to fully enclose the play yard. During today's inspection LPA Hunter toured the outside play yard located to the rear of Classrooms 11 and 12. LPA observed a walkway in the back play yard that is properly fenced. LPA observed restrooms that will be utilized while the children are outside. Site Coordinator stated classrooms will have separate outdoor play times.
LPA measured the outdoor space which contains 3175.242 square feet; accommodating the number of children being requested. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024). LPA did not observe a water fountain outside. Site Coordinator stated she will use a water jug and cups that will be accessible to children.
This facility evaluation report was reviewed and discussed with the Site Coordinator. An exit interview was conducted. A Notice of Site Visit was provided and should remain posted for a period of 30 days for parental review. The Site Coordinator was encouraged to visit the Department's website at WWW.CCLD.CA.GOV for information regarding child care updates, forms, regulations and legislation pertaining to child care centers. Appeal rights were printed and provided.
In the areas that were evaluated, no deficiencies were cited during the inspection.
LPA will review photos of outdoor play area, and will allow the facility to utilize the play area per LPM approval.
