Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Erwin Tjhia met with Director Erin Hinton for the purpose of an unannounced Annual inspection. Facility days and hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM. There were 15 children present during today's inspection with 3 parents volunteers.

All staff present during today's inspection have a fingerprint clearance. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA toured the facility inside and out. LPA reviewed staffing ratios, first aid supplies, furniture, equipment, fire drills and drinking water. LPA observed that hazardous items (disinfectants, cleaning solutions etc.) were inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed all required forms to be posted. LPA observed functioning carbon monoxide and smoke alarms. There are adequate toys and equipment available for children. Outdoor play area was toured, the play structure appeared to be in good repair, and there is sufficient cushioning (wood chips) under the play structure. LPA reviewed the electronic sign in/out (BrightWheel Apps) and observed that the children are properly signed in/out. Director stated that facility did not have any medications at facility. Some first aid materials were available. LPA did not observe any sleeping mats or blankets. Director stated that facility was a 2 hour 45 minutes program from 8.30am to 11.15pm and 12.30pm to 3.15pm did not take naps.



LPA reviewed children’s and staff files. LPA observed health screening reports with TB test and required MMR and TDAP vaccines. At least one staff member present today has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid (exp. 08/2025). LPA observed AB1207 Mandated Reporter training certificates for all staff. This provider is not currently providing Incidental Medical Services (IMS) services to children in care. IMS policy was discussed. Facility Representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the director. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

In the areas that were evaluated, no deficiencies were cited during the inspection.
