25 | An annual/required inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Emilia Grisak. The facility file was reviewed prior to this visit. The facility operates year-round, Monday - Friday; 7:30am-5:30pm. This program is operated by a public agency and a Title 5 funded program. The facility was toured inside and outside and the floor and yard plans were reviewed. The facility currently only cares for toddlers, ages 18-36 months, in unit D. The items which could pose a danger to children (detergents and cleaning compounds) were inaccessible to children. There is a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher, rated at least 2A10BC. The facility conducted an emergency drill within the past six months, last drill was conducted in 01/2020. The facility was free of flies, insects and rodents. The toys, floors, and other equipment and surfaces appeared clean, toxic free, safe for toddlers and in good condition. There is uncontaminated drinking water available to children both indoors and outdoors. During facility tour at 8:50am LPA observed that the changing table did not have a sanitary vinyl pad at least 1" thick. The bathroom and hand washing area appeared to be in safe and sanitary operating condition. There was sufficient napping equipment available that meet requirements. A current menu was posted. Food prep areas are clean. Food is properly stored and refrigerated as needed. Garbage cans containing solid waste have tight fitting lids. The playgrounds were free of hazards. The playground equipment and surface areas appeared in safe condition. Wood chips under climbing structures provide cushioning to absorb falls. There were no bodies of water observed. Site Supervisor stated no weapons are stored on site and none were observed. During today's inspection, staffing ratios were being met and ten children were being directly supervised by four teachers/aides. The facility was operating within the licensed capacity. At least one staff member present during the visit possessed current CPR and First Aid certifications. Sign in/out procedures are in place. Nine children's records were reviewed at 9:10am and found to be in substantial compliance. Four staff records were reviewed at 9:00am and contained documentation as required. This facility is not currently providing Incidental Medical Services (IMS) but has a plan in place.
